Dear Lee,
Has it really been two years already? It seems like it was just yesterday that we promised each other forever. Being your wife has been such an awesome adventure. You have stepped up as the leader of our home, encouraged me, loved me past my shortcomings, made me laugh until my sides hurt, and have truly loved me like Christ loves His church. And just in case you've forgotten, here are a few of the fun times we've had this year...
You had a knack for entertaining children with your guitar...
And your muscles...
And bringing in groceries like a boss ;)
This is you trying not to crash the car while I took our picture... and being patient while i had to retake it 12 times because my hair just didn't look right ;)
...and making ice-cream art...with KD in the backseat
Okay, this isn't you, but I LOVE my ring ;) It works for an anniversary post, right?
Again with the muscles!
I absolutely love your heart for worship. Your dedication is truly inspiring. Like...if I spent as much time learning to cook as you spend using your gifts, I would make the Iron Chef cry...to his mommy ;)
Remember that time a hurricane threatened to destroy our home so we escaped to Texas with baby Eli and the Williams family? Me too
Again with the entertaining children... this was the first time that Chance Wayne came to our house! And now he is officially our nephew!
Or when we decided to get a puppy and you insisted on installing gates for the porch? I was impressed ;)
And here he is! Our AMAZINGLY SMART Hudson. (Though he may bark at sticks, I still think he's a genius)
I'm so very proud of you and your dedication to graduate school. You seriously blow my mind with your brain ;) My only regret is that I there's no hope for me helping you with your homework... ;)
Hey, this is us as kids! I think our moms knew we were meant for each other and matched us on purpose. Really, though. I hope our children have your ears. So cute!
Some of my favorite moments: quiet nights when you play while I work.
Remember this? These were the reviews you got after teaching your FIRST class! So proud of you!
And while you were teaching college mathematics, I was making a book about you ;)
This was the one time throughout the whole winter that we successfully made a fire. It was nice while it lasted!
Remember when you were surprised with a basketball goal for Christmas?
...or when Hudson caught your rebound?
Such a fun uncle!
Another life-endangering car picture. At least this time I didn't put the phone in your line of vision, right?
Ohhhh, remember the epic balloon avalanche on your birthday? Your welcome.
This is when you were studying for your qualifying exam, which you passed at the PH. D LEVEL! (Again, so proud!!)
This may not have been one of your best ideas: Hurling marshmallows at Kaleb from across the house... I suppose winter break will do that to you. ;)
One of my very FAVORITE moments: witnessing two of our best friends get married. And getting photobombed by Kaleb.
Late night reading...
The next two pictures are our Valentine's Day date. Buffalo Wild Wings, the Apple Store and Plato's Closet. Perfection.
This is when you proved your sneakiness. I had mentioned before that I would like to read The Story, but left it at that. So you very sneakily got it for me. Thanks babe!
I think being subtle is your best quality ;)
Your way to protest a picture together on Easter Sunday. You win.
Who could forget REIGN CONFERENCE! So amazingly awesome! And I love that you served at a women's conference and received just as much as the women.haha
Remember that time we bought a window unit and INSISTED that we put it in at MIDNIGHT?
This is when you went to a worship conference at Church of the Highlands with the guys and bought me a rug from Dirt Cheap. Love it ;)
This was our 2nd anniversary date: Hobby Lobby and watching Epic with a theater full of children. haha

And FINALLY, this is the picture that we took exactly 2 years after we got married (at 5:35 pm) We chose that time because that was the time that you texted me, "So what chance does a guy like me have with a girl like you?"
I would say a pretty good one ;)
Yours forever,
Julie
