Our Week in iPhone Photos: Giveaways, weddings and taco chicken

The past week has been pretty exciting. You might have seen the awesome giveaway that is happening right now! I've teamed up with the amazing Makeup McCarty to host a give away a family session with hair and makeup provided. You can get more info here!

I also finally got a chance to work on Savannah's maternity session. This location find was a DREAM...

One day last week I woke up feeling super discouraged. There are so many things that I want to do and that I want my business to be, but they don't seem feasible right now. I constantly sow, sow, sow into my business, but the harvest that I want just isn't there yet. Photographers out there, you know what I'm talking about! I just have to remind myself that a slow season doesn't mean I'm doomed to failure.

Anyway, I totally teared up when I saw what my hubby had posted, not knowing how I was feeling because we hadn't talked yet. #GodKnows

If you know me, you'll know that I'm ALL ABOUT freezing meals so I don't have to cook later. I love to experiment with burritos because they are super quick to take out of the freezer and heat up for lunch. For this batch, I made taco chicken with cream cheese burritos: 4 chicken breasts made about 20 burritos. Not bad!

Lastly, a dear friend of mine became a Mrs. this weekend! Tasha is a fellow photographer and super talented/humble/real/amazing. So it was an honor when she asked me to photograph her wedding. I normally do not photograph weddings, but I was more than happy to be Tasha's personal slave for the day ;) What a beautiful group of girls!!

That's all for now!

Our Week in iPhone Photos

We all have that one thing that we need to get better at. Mine is consistency. I tell myself, I'm going to do the dishes EVERY NIGHT. Or I'm going to run on Tuesday and Thursday mornings!! Yeah!

Most of the time, I do these things once or twice and then bail. But this is not what I was called to be.

She looks well to the ways of her household,
And does not eat the bread of idleness.
Proverbs 31:27

So as an exercise in being more consistent, I bring you: "Our Week in iPhone Photos" :D
I will be posting this every week (most likely on Thursdays or Saturdays) in case you are really curious about mine and Lee's lives ;) So lets get started!

First off, I (with some gentle prodding from my hubby) decided to cut my hair! This was  a big deal because it was basically my security blanket. But oh my goodness am I loving my new 'do! It feels so light and free! If anyone in the Livingston area needs a FABULOUS hair and makeup artist, I highly recommend Makeup McCarty. She is extremely knowledgeable about her craft and kept this anxious chick well informed about what she was doing! Love her!
Please excuse the horrid picture, I have to tell you about this night. Lee has been working late, so I wanted to surprise him when he got home this week. Most wives might clean the house or have a fabulous dinner cooked, but I figured that was too mainstream ;)

Instead, I pulled our king sized mattress into the living room and set up a slumber party for us. Complete with pizza and Netflix. So much fun. I might add that we took this picture in the pitch black dark.

Also this week, Leemond got a new guitar. He told me that in photography terms this one is close to having a Mark III. He knows how to speak my language ;)

Here are a couple of gems that I found on Pinterest.

There has never been a more true statement. Ever.

Lee and I both have a set of notes like this. After he scared me to death (because I knew he was asleep) I started asking him math questions that he answered correctly!

This isn't an iPhone photo, but it is oh-so exciting! Our church, The Church in St. Amant, had our first service at our new campus: The Church in Livingston. Our God is amazing!

So there you go! Our week in iPhone photos! I will definitely try to be consistent with this. If I miss it, please harass me on my Facebook page! And who knows, maybe I will do dishes every night and start running ;)

Harlow [Portrait Session] Baton Rouge Photographer

Hey all!

If you haven't had your daily dose of cuteness, GET READY! Harlow's mom, Keisha, is a wonderful hair and makeup artist in the Denham Springs area (Hair Rox), so naturally, Harlow looked ARDORABLE!  (Keisha also made my 2014 Senior Model Team look FABULOUS for our big summer photo shoot.)

I met up with Harlow and Keisha last weekend for a mini session in downtown Hammond. Harlow was ready to get her diva on! ;)

Happy Birthday, Harlow!

It's all for Him,
Julianne
